In my Introduction to Linux/UNIX class I installed a virtual machine with Virtual Box and with it I;

• Introduced fundamental concepts of various Linux distributions.
• Practiced common user tasks in the operating system (OS) shell.
• Preformed command line utilities, learned basics of shell scripting, pipes, redirection, Linux file system, and GNU Network Object Model Environment (GNOME).
• Graphical User Interface (GUI) and basic network commands was reviewed.
• I learned how to setup and manage users and groups and configure ownerships and permissions.
